The Academic Center for Learning and Teaching (ACLT) organized a workshop on “Leveraging H5P in Education” for faculty members of the university on September 27, 2025.
The workshop aimed to equip faculty with the knowledge and skills to design interactive, multimedia-rich learning materials using H5P (HTML5 Package), an open-source platform that empowers educators to create dynamic educational content without programming expertise.
The comprehensive session covered the following themes:
Introduction to H5P and Its Educational Applications: Participants explored the platform’s wide range of features and its potential to enhance engagement across different teaching contexts and disciplines.
Designing Interactive Learning Experiences: Faculty members learned to use H5P content types such as interactive videos, quizzes, course presentations, timelines, and drag-and-drop exercises to promote active learning and deeper comprehension.
Integrating H5P into Learning Environments: The session provided strategies for embedding H5P content into Learning Management Systems (LMS), websites, and digital platforms while addressing accessibility and usability considerations.
Aligning H5P with Learning Outcomes: Participants practiced selecting content types that align with instructional goals, support formative assessment, and encourage student participation.
Collaborative Content Creation and Sharing: The workshop highlighted opportunities for faculty collaboration in co-creating and sharing H5P activities, building a culture of innovation and a community of practice.
